About Southall Church of God:
The Southall Church of God was established in October 1983 as a small group to reach the people of the town with the Good News of Jesus Christ. From its humble beginning, the church has grown and developed into a large and vibrant multi-cultural, multi-racial church. The ministries and activities of the church over the years have impacted the community and touched hundreds of people.
Since 1985 Pastor Joe Kurian and family were instrumental in leading the church to greater growth and expansion.
At first the church was meeting in the SouthallTown Hall in the High Street (1983-87). Then it moved to 1 Woodlands Road
(AEUW Hall) till 1991. For a brief period the meeting was held in North Road Hall (Seventh Day Adventist’s) and in the Kings Hall Methodist Church Hall. During 1992 – 96 the church met in Shackleton Hall, and then moved to the Ramgharia Hall on the Broadway till 2002. Then in 2002 the group began to rent the SouthallEvangelicalChurch on 9 Norwood Road.
The property was bought by the SouthallChurch of God in 2003 and the church found its permanent facility for worship and ministries.
The membership and adherents of the church currently is around 250. At least 13 different language groups/nationalities and backgrounds are represented in this family of God. It is a church with an international flavour reflecting the world wide spiritual household of God. The SouthallChurch of God is renowned for its warm, loving, welcoming family atmosphere and fellowship without any prejudice.
